Fog City Boy #20

KM-Camino

San Francisco, California – November 1, 2015

There is quite a community of peregrinos and others who will be peregrinos one day soon.  I have connected with two chapters of the American confraternity – American Pilgrims on the Camino.  One is the Nor-Cal chapter located in the San Francisco Bay Area.  The other is the Western North Carolina chapter centered in Asheville, NC.

These chapters have meetings and often go hiking and share stories of their experiences.

I met Laurie Ferris at one of those walks in Oakland, California.  She is doing a blog which you can find at http://www.thecaminoprovides.com.

She interviewed me for her blog.  To visit her blog and see the video interview, click on the green link below.

Buen Camino!

  1. Mike:

Great interview. You might even inspire me to try it. Maybe not. Nevertheless, I enjoyed your blog and hope to follow you on other treks.

  2. Way to go! Great interview, and we also noted you are doing SF tours. We’d sure like to get one someday! Xo Pat and JJ

  3. Hi Knute, Wonderful interview! What an experience your walks must have been! Now that I am able to walk again (my hip prevented much of that pre-surgery), I will have to try to catch one of your city tours. It was great seeing you and Ginna for our late lunch a couple of Wednesdays ago! We should do that more often. Love, Cindy

  4. This is wonderful and inspirational–thanks for sharing!! Hope to see you soon. Sigrid

  5. HI Mike – Good summary. Interested to know some of your insights – still lingering (maybe a habit by now) is my daily gratitude mantras. Forces me into starting the day with a full cup rather than half empty. I am looking forward to finishing the Camino Frances next august /september. The boots u recommended were Asolo right?

    1. Hi Kathy. Good to hear from you! Yes. The boots I wore were ASOLO and you may have to buy them on line. REI carries them but not the ones I wore and wore out on the Camino! Check the REI out at Tysons Corner or near by and if not there, try on line.

      Best. Hope all is well!

      Mike
